It’s been a while since I’ve spoken about beauty, skincare, or haircare over here — but my recent visit to Coiffure Pedro Sanchez truly compelled me to share my experience.
Fridays are usually my slow mornings. Have I ever mentioned how lovely an 80% working schedule is — for your mind, your body, and your soul? For years, working professionals have dreamt about 4-day weeks. I took a pay cut to experience this freedom and never actually went back. Maybe… a topic for another post.
On my slow morning, I tried out their Signature Hair Experience in Zurich — a complete hair transformation journey that includes:
- A detailed hair consultation
- An intensive care ritual for hair and scalp
- A high-precision haircut (this is where the magic unfolds)
- A professional blow-dry
- Expert tips on preserving and maintaining your hair
So let’s deep dive – from location to experience to transformation.
#1 Finding a Good Hairdresser in Zurich (Especially as an Expat)
As expats, we hear this all the time:
“Can you recommend a good hairdresser in Zurich?”
When you move to a new city, finding a trusted hair salon almost feels like part of your onboarding package. It’s important to find someone who gets you – understands your language, your lifestyle, and your hair. Someone who will gently stop you when you walk in asking for a dramatic colour change without considering the consequences. And then communicate that advice delicately.
I still remember back home in India when a salon completely messed up my hair with a permanent curl. Or once in Prague when I decided to go blonde – the real disaster only revealed itself when I reached home!
Walking into Coiffure Pedro Sanchez in Zurich felt different. The team was attentive from the very beginning. Ardita, who took care of me for about two hours, understood exactly what I needed – and what would actually suit me.
If you’re in Zurich and looking for your “go-to” hairdresser, this might be it. The best part? Their initial consultation is free. They spend at least 15 minutes discussing your wishes while bringing their professional expertise into the conversation. That balance matters.
#2 Location: A Central Zurich Hair Salon
One of the best parts about the salon is its central Zurich location.

- Just 4 tram stops from Bahnhofstrasse
- A 3-minute walk from Tunnelstrasse
- Address: Freigutstrasse 7, 8002 Zurich
They currently share the space with Rudolf Haene Coiffure in a collaborative (not competitive) environment. Appointments are essential, so plan ahead.
#3 My Experience at Coiffure Pedro Sanchez
Usually, when I walk into a place, I can immediately pick up on the vibe — and in Zurich, I’m particularly aware of this.
Basel feels relaxed, cozy, comfortable. Zurich? There’s a certain polish in the air. No matter how well dressed you are, it sometimes never feels like enough.
But here, I felt welcome the moment I entered.
Michael showed me around the salon before introducing me to Ardita, who would be taking care of me that afternoon. She patiently listened to what I needed and offered suggestions to make sure I felt safe and satisfied with what we planned. These conversations are so important — they give clients comfort and trust.
The Hair & Scalp Treatment
Ardita took me to the wash station where the experience truly began:

- Gentle shampooing
- A nourishing scalp treatment
- An invigorating head massage
By the end of it, my hair already felt healthier and deeply cared for.
The High-Precision Haircut
Now, let’s talk about the haircut.
Unlike many hairdressers who cut more than promised, Ardita stuck to her word — so much so that I had to tell her that a little more would be okay if it enhanced volume.
Volume was my only key ask. After the hair I’ve lost over the last 10 years in Switzerland, every haircut comes with one expectation: create the feeling of fullness. And that is absolutely possible when your hairdresser is an artist.
The cut was followed by a soft blow-out with light curls. I’ve been using shade #5 for my colour for a while now, and I’m loving this black-brown phase my hair is in. I’ll let you tell me how it looks.

Before leaving, I finished my cup of tea, had a short conversation with Michael about organizing something for our community (our members are always on my mind), and walked out in a much better mood than I had walked in with.
That, to me, says everything.
#4 The Hair Transformation
Seeing is believing.

I’ve linked my reel here so you can see the before-and-after transformation along with close-up pictures. I didn’t do a colour refresh this time, but I’m already looking forward to going back for one soon.
