Q: Please tell our readers a little bit about yourself.
People say I’m a caring, compassionate, gentle, faithful and authentic woman.
I’m a wife and a mother to two children (a boy and a girl).
I’m a Third Culture Kid (TCK) – I grew up in West Africa but am Swiss and English. I’ve also lived in New Zealand for 12 years. I’ve been an expat several times and now feel a bit like an expat in my home country 😉.
So the hardest question you could ask me is “Where are you from?” You will be met with silence and hesitations, then laughter.
I’m a passionate Advanced NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner and Coach and a Lightning Process Practitioner.
The 3 days that changed my life
As a child, I suffered from anxiety and lack of self-esteem and I know first-hand what that feels like. As an adult, when I moved from Switzerland to New Zealand with my husband, these issues continued to be present and depression also reared its ugly head. As soon as children came along, faced with a lack of support, running a new business with my husband, and dealing with being a new mother, my anxieties became chronic and post-natal depression took root.

In August 2016, I did find a solution in the form of the 3-day Lightning Process® training, which I undertook in New Zealand. The Lightning Process® teaches empowering tools based on neuroscience and the science of the mind-body connection to improve health, happiness, and wellbeing. The training enabled me to take back control of my life and health and be a happy and confident woman, wife and mother I wanted to be.
From then on, I knew that I could do anything I put my mind to.
Q: Tell us about your work
When I moved back to Switzerland in 2017 with my family, I undertook the necessary studies to become a licensed Lightning Process® practitioner because I wanted to not only share the hope that the answers to our own well-being is within ourselves but also that when we know-how, we have the power to unlock our potential to health and happiness. I finished my studies in January 2019 and have since been working with adults and children, coaching them and passing on the keys and tools to thriving mental and physical wellness.

The Lightning Process is a training program that teaches you to change the way your nervous system controls your body. Its empowering tools involve gentle movement, meditation-like techniques, and mental exercises. With practice, you’ll learn how to switch on pathways that promote health and switch off the ones which aren’t so good for you.
Q: What does a day in your life look like?
Life is busy. Super busy. And no two days are the same. I’m a home-schooling and working Mum. I’m on the go all day, then again sometimes in the evenings.
Luckily, I share the home-schooling responsibilities with other parents, so my involvement varies over the week.
Some days I’m mostly home-schooling, which I love doing. It’s so precious to see the faces of children when a notion “clicks”, when they’re proud of themselves or determined. It’s also a privilege to be there for them when things are tougher, and they need explanations or encouragement. I get so much in return for everything I give. One particular area that has been both challenging and exciting is to teach my son to read and write. He has dyslexia and is a kinaesthetic learner, so you’ll often find me on the internet looking for ideas and ways to teach him in a way that works for him.
Other days I’m mostly working, which is my passion. Coaching and teaching people the tools to help them move on from stuckness to flourishing in their lives. Whether they are stuck physically or mentally. And behind the scenes, when I’m not working with clients, I’m networking, speaking to groups, working on marketing, communicating or improving my skills.
After 3 pm every day is the time when I focus on housework, my own wellbeing, and my children. Giving them my focused attention for at least 30 minutes each day is very important to me. These moments are filled with laughter, quality moments, or heart to hearts. I go for a walk most days and if I’m very lucky I manage to catch 10 minutes of reading in the sun on a nice day.
By the time the evening meal is over, I usually lie down on the couch with a good book or to watch a movie or documentary with my hubby. Being close to him, physically and emotionally, is a priority in my life, and one of the main reasons I believe our marriage is doing so well 15 years down the line.

I’m really looking forward to heading the Mental Health section. I will be sharing information about neuroscience and the science of the mind-body connection, as well as practical tips and tools to help you improve your mental health and feel better and happier.

- I’m a home-schooling Mum (never thought this would happen!)
- I can type really fast without looking at my fingers
- I can twist my tongue both ways
- I love hugging trees
- I’m a coffee snob (ie I love coffee and I’m picky about my coffee)
- I collect seashells (even though I don’t know what to do with them 😉)

- Hanging out with my kids
- Reading (mostly romance or professional development)
- Cooking or baking
- Going for walks
- Enjoying nature
- Spending quality time with my close friends
