As 2025 comes to a close, gratitude is the strongest emotion that lingers.

This year, My Swiss Story grew in ways that once felt like quiet hopes. What began as a content-driven platform evolved into a space where women across Switzerland found connection, honesty, and a sense of belonging. Through in-person gatherings, thoughtful conversations, articles, and shared experiences, 2025 became not just a busy year, but a deeply meaningful one.

A Year of Community Across Switzerland

In 2025, our community came together more than ever before.

We hosted over 25 events across Switzerland and online, each shaped by the women who showed up. From Basel and Zurich to Zug and Lausanne, these gatherings became spaces where stories were shared generously, friendships formed naturally, and women felt supported in every stage of their journey.

Each meetup reminded us why community matters, especially when navigating life, work, and identity in a new country.

Coffee with a Purpose: Small Circles, Deep Connections

What started as intimate meetups for expat women continued to grow into meaningful circles across cities and regions, and even on the move.

Coffee with a Purpose remained at the heart of our community gatherings. These were soft, grounding spaces where women shared experiences of settling in, navigating transitions, building routines, and creating a sense of home in Switzerland.

A heartfelt thank you to our FY25 community catalysts who made these gatherings possible: Claire Hauxwell (Zug), Palak Nemani (Zurich), Miki Maruko (Valais), Mizuka (Lausanne), & Diana & Jessica (Basel)

Your care, presence, and leadership shaped these spaces beautifully.

Womenโ€™s Career & Networking Brunch

Our Womenโ€™s Career & Networking Brunch, created in collaboration with our dear friend Anisa Zafar, offered a thoughtful blend of career clarity and connection.

These gatherings held space for conversations around professional identity, confidence, purpose, and navigating careers in Switzerland, themes deeply woven into the expat experience. They became moments of reflection, encouragement, and honest dialogue for women figuring out their next steps.

Online Workshops & Virtual Conversations

Community doesnโ€™t stop at physical borders.

Throughout the year, our online workshops and virtual chats brought women together across cities and sometimes across countries. From career conversations and financial guidance to mindset and personal growth, these sessions remained intimate, accessible, and supportive.

A sincere thank you to our guests Daniel Shalom, Estie Alessandrini, and Maike Stroetmann for sharing their insights and time with our community.

The Heart of the Equation: The Podcast

In 2025, deeper conversations found a new home.

The Heart of the Equation podcast was created by our founder Pragati Siddhanti, alongside Sara Mobarhanfard and Anisa Zafar, to explore the human side of success in STEM. The podcast became a space for honest discussions around work, resilience, identity, and life as expats in Switzerland.

Two episodes that resonated strongly this year:

Life Beyond Work as an Expat Tech Leader โ€” a reflective conversation on identity and redefining success beyond job titles.
Navigating the Swiss Job Market as a Mid-Career Professional โ€” an honest look at transitions, expectations, and adaptation.

Episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 are available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Youtube

What You Loved Reading This Year

Our blog continued to reflect the many layers of expat life, the cultural nuances, emotional shifts, learning curves, and moments of joy.

Some of the most-read articles this year included:

These stories resonated because they mirrored shared experiences and offered reassurance that no one is navigating this journey alone.y centers.

A Milestone: A Book for Job Seekers

This year also marked a special milestone.

Our founder authored The Ultimate Guide to Finding a Job in Switzerland, a practical, confidence-building resource designed to help job seekers understand the Swiss market, strengthen applications, and navigate cultural nuances with clarity.

The guide also offers lifetime access to the My Swiss Story community, reinforcing our belief that career journeys are stronger when supported by connection.

Thank You for Being Part of This Story

To everyone who attended an event, joined a webinar, read an article, listened to a podcast, or quietly followed along โ€” thank you.

Your presence, trust, and shared stories are the heartbeat of My Swiss Story. This community exists because of the women who bring their experiences, voices, and openness into this space.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we begin planning for 2026, weโ€™re opening the door to more community-led collaborations.

Whether youโ€™re a creator, writer, coach, expert, or small-business owner, there are new ways to contribute:

Hosting a webinar
Proposing an in-person event or meetup
Sharing expertise with our community

We look forward to continuing this journey together, finding inspiration, connection, and a sense of home along the way.

Being an Expat in Switzerland is a journey filled with learning, growth, beauty, and discovery. At first, everything feels new. But slowly, Switzerland becomes familiar: the bakery you love, the lake you walk by, the mountains you smile at every morning.

And thatโ€™s the real magic of Being an Expat in Switzerland: it doesn’t rush you. It lets you arrive gently, at your own pace.

Are you currently an Expat in Switzerland? Iโ€™d love to hear your story. Letโ€™s connect
