As you all know, I kickstarted my CLOY weekend with Magic Switzerland on Friday afternoon. I boarded the train to Interlaken and needless to say, the train journey of 2 hours was filled with familiar yet beautiful views (I had missed travelling by train, since COVID we have taken all trips by car). Upon arrival, we checked into the Carlton Europe Vintage Adults Hotel where we decided to unwind and relax for a bit.
Location and Accessibility
This beautiful vintage hotel is located near in Interlaken – which itself is a wonderful place, located between two lakand is very well connected to all major destinations around the Bernese Oberland, as well as the Jungfrau region. When visiting Interlaken, you’ll feel right at home at Carlton-Europe Vintage Adults Hotel as it offers quality accommodation and good service. From here, you can make the most of all that the lively city has to offer. With its convenient location, the property offers easy access to the city’s must-see destinations.

Facilities and Services
Apart from basic services such a free Wifi, laundry, etc., the hotel also offers a range of outdoor as well as indoor activities to choose from. There is a beautiful pool area and library where you can unwind at. When it comes to food, traditional Swiss dishes from the Bernese Oberland, to fondue and raclette, a nice variety is available in the Ruedihus restaurant. The Johnny’s Pub & Grill serves grilled dishes and a great selection of fine wines. At the Shalimar, you can choose from a variety of spicy dishes. Apart from this, there’s also a spa at the property which can be used against a surcharge.

My Final Thoughts + Experience
Our room had intricate vintage decor and was quite homely and comfortable, with plenty of space to move around in. The hotel itself is decorated true to its history and has a nice relaxed pace of life to it. Breakfast had everything you could want, nicely labeled, and a variety of options to eat and drink. The staff was friendly and welcoming to serving us and answering any questions we had.
