They say “perfume is an intense form of memory,” and I have many memories etched in my mind with Bvlgari’s Jasmin Noir, which is why I was happy it back in the new collection.
Today, I’m here to tell you everything there is know about Bvlgari Splendida Jasmin Noir New Collection.
The History
Back in 2008, Bvlgari launched Jasmin Noir for the very first time. Making most of the white flower, the perfume challenged the conventional standards of perfumery in those times. Unlike a lot of brands who only made floral fragrances for women, Bvlgari was responsible for creating a new world which embraced the mystery and the moods of us women.
In 2017, the emphasis is on achieving a balance between the old and the new. Perfumer Sophie Labbe continues to keep Sambac Jasmine at the heart. With a hint of fruit, the perfume offers notes of satin almonds, sandalwood and patchouli too.
The Bottle
If I were to put it simply, I’d say the bottles are a perfect statement for your dresser. A rectangular shaped bottle that looks like a jewel, the only two colours that are used in the box are black and gold.
First Impressions
On the first spritz, I was rushed with my memories of my old bottle (and the days it came with). After smelling the fresh notes of jasmine, the note steer towards the milkier side. The wooden, floral notes of sandalwood, cashmeran and Tonka beans last through the day.
As I continued to wear it for weeks, I felt addicted to the almost hypnotic combinations of green sap.
I personally know a lot of women who always keep a bottle of Jasmin Noir on their dressers.
Sillage
Jasmin Noir is a perfect mix of both fresh and woody notes and is ideal to wear in the colder months. Spritz it in the morning on your wrist, neck and underarms. You wouldn’t need to spritz it till evening.
Price
The New Collection which consists of Jasmin Noir, along with Rose Rose and Iris D’Or are available for Rs 5,850 for 50 ml.
