When the summer fatigue starts setting in after active holidays, busy schedules, hikes, catching up with friends and frequent BBQs, nature presents us with the most beautiful season to slow down and slip into a mellow and snug comfort. It’s the weather for sweater, it’s the season that evokes poetry, it’s the celebration of ‘letting go’. The leaves age into yellows, oranges and reds, and fall with grace to lay out a colourful carpet for you. The sun softens. The mist falls. There’s glory all around.
Switzerland does autumn like no other. Lakeside promenades, valleys, mountains and neighbourhoods are resplendent in various hues. The Alpine landscape looks nothing short of a painter’s imagination in bright pastels.
Take a visual journey through the fall foliage in various parts of the country, with an effort to do as much justice to the beauty as a Samsung phone camera allows.
